What is Milestone?

Milestone is an engineering intelligence platform that measures the impact of GenAI coding tools on real engineering output. It correlates AI tool telemetry (Copilot, Cursor, Claude, and others) with Git and PR activity, then layers that signal onto your existing engineering metrics so you can see whether AI is improving delivery, quality, and cost, or just adding spend.

Beyond GenAI, Milestone gives engineering leaders a reliable view of how teams work, where time is going, and how delivery is trending without disrupting developers day-to-day.

Core Use Cases​

GenAI Impact: Quantify how GenAI tools affect delivery. Compare AI impacted PRs against non AI baselines on cycle time, review time and post review change rate. Attribution operates at the commit level; a PR is marked AI impacted when 30% or more of its commits show AI involvement.

Engineering Performance: Track how teams deliver over time. PR cycle time, review time, stability trends, and throughput. Surface bottlenecks and benchmark against your own baselines as AI adoption changes the shape of the work.

How Milestone Works​

Milestone connects directly to the tools you already use:

Deployment: Milestone runs as SaaS or fully on-premise. The on-prem option keeps all raw data Jira fields, PR descriptions, and commit details inside your infrastructure. Milestone does not save customer prompts and does not train on customer data.
