Cursor · Integration Guide

Milestone integrates with Cursor using Admin API keys. Only administrators can create and manage these keys.

Team Admin API key​

Use a Team Admin API key for usage and spend. If you have several Cursor teams, create one key per team and add a connection for each — read-only access is enough.

  1. Go to cursor.com/dashboard?tab=settings.
  2. Click "New Admin API Key".
  3. Give the key a descriptive name (e.g., "Milestone Integration").
  4. Copy the generated key immediately — you won't be able to view it again.
  5. Paste it into the Team Admin API key field.

If your company uses Cursor through a single team, the Team Admin API key above is all you need. If your Cursor account has an Organization (multiple teams under one umbrella), you can optionally add Organization-level keys to give Milestone visibility into org-wide usage and member data across all teams.

Organization Admin API key (optional)​

Add an Organization Admin API key with the members:read scope, and a second key with the usage:* scope, for org-wide usage and spend. This requires your Cursor account team to enable an Organization on your account.

  1. Have your Cursor account team enable an Organization on the account.
  2. Generate an Organization Admin API key with the members:read scope, and a second key with the usage:* scope.
  3. Paste the members key into Organization Admin API key (members:read) and the usage key into Organization API key (usage).
  4. Enter your Cursor Organization ID so the keys can be scoped to your organization.

Telemetry (Direct Setup)​

OpenTelemetry export requires a Cursor Enterprise plan.

  1. In the Cursor dashboard, go to Team Settings → OpenTelemetry Export.
  2. Set the Base URL to: 
    https://telemetry.mstone.ai
    (no /v1 suffix)
  3. Add a header:
    • Key: x-shared-secret
    • Value: your Milestone ingest token
  4. Enable the following toggles:
    • Enabled
    • Export metrics
    • Export logs
    • Model usage
    • Tool calls
    • Cloud agents
    • Skills hooks & plugins
    • Automatically export new event types
